The classic Rob Roy cocktail is a simple, three-ingredient drink made with scotch whisky, sweet vermouth, and Angostura bitters.
Ingredients
• 2 ounces blended scotch whisky
• 3/4 to 1 ounce sweet vermouth
• 2 to 3 dashes Angostura bitters
• Brandied cherry or lemon peel for garnish
Instructions
• Fill a mixing glass with ice cubes.
• Add the scotch, sweet vermouth, and bitters.
• Stir well for 20 to 30 seconds until cold.
• Strain the liquid into a chilled coupe or cocktail glass.
• Add a brandied cherry on top to serve.
