I found this collection of photos that I shot from Shortoff Mountain up Linville Gorge toward Table Rock and Hawsksbill Mountain. This is in Burke County and McDowell County, North Carolina. These photos were shot on a gorgeous fall day in 2012. I provide some commentary for the photos to let you know what you are seeing. The Linville Gorge is called "The Grand Canyon of the East." You'll also see the Black Mountains, South Mountains and some nice shots of Lake James in this video.
