If you want to make your Linux Mint Cinnamon desktop look absolutely different from default theme, watch this video and you will be able to customize your Linux mint beyond the default settings.
If you go to Linux Mint Settings - Themes you will find a set of themes that come with Linux Mint by default. There are some pretty themes. For example, I really like Linux Mint Y theme.
if you want to install additional themes, you can do it by installing desktop themes from the settings: Settings - Themes - Add desktop theme
You can also install Linux Mint themes and icons from Gnome-look.org.
If it is a .deb package, install it using Gdebi with the right click of your mouse.
If it is an archive, download it, extract and move themes to .themes folders, icons to .icons folder.
Similarly, you can install theme from Github.com.
