Defense attorney Kevin Redington spoke to WBZ News’ Kristina Rex outside of court Tuesday calling out Massachusetts District Attorney Timothy Cruz for charging Lindsay Clancy with first-degree murder and how doing so eliminated the possibility of any plea deal.

If Clancy is convicted of first-degree murder, she faces life in prison without parole. If the jury determines she was not criminally responsible, she will be sent to a state psychiatric hospital in Massachusetts.
