Deliberations in the Lindsay Clancy murder trial have reached day five in Plymouth, Massachusetts, with the jury announcing they cannot reach a unanimous decision. The jury has deliberated for about 23 hours in total to determine if Clancy is criminally responsible for killing her three children in 2023. Under Massachusetts law, Judge William Sullivan can issue a formal Tuey-Rodriguez charge, ordering the divided jury to take one final look at the evidence without changing their views solely to reach a verdict. If the jury remains deadlocked, the judge could declare a mistrial, leaving the decision to retry the case to District Attorney Tim Cruz. Defense Attorney Kevin Reddington stated he is fully prepared to try the case again if necessary.

In a separate incident connected to the proceedings, a 56-year-old woman was arrested outside the courthouse and is accused of attempting to photograph the jurors.
