Lindsay Clancy’s defense has made a new move to try to prevent a second trial — bringing in the same lawyer who fought the double-jeopardy battle for Karen Read.
At the same time, the defense is also asking Judge Sullivan to throw out the case on an entirely different ground.
In this video, I break down both arguments, why Karen Read’s case matters, and whether either move could actually bring the Lindsay Clancy case to an end.
Lindsay Clancy was tried in a Massachusetts courtroom, charged with murder. When one juror held out, a mistrial was declared. Lindsay Clancy says she is not criminally responsible for what happened, because she was in postpartum psychosis.
