Irish DJ/producer Ali Story takes on the Lily Mckenzie track 'Lovers & Friends' - giving it a fresh Piano-meets-Tech House twist.
Establishing herself early with a series of high-profile collaborations with some of the biggest names in Grime and UK Funky before moving on to work with respected names such as Stanton Warriors, Crazy Cousinz and Yxng Bane, Lily McKenzie has built a reputation around her thoughtful lyrics, emotive vocal tones and distinctive flow. She recently appeared on fellow South London artist Ard Adzās track āGrownā off his new project Dinner For One and Jess Baysā new single āBack & Forthā, with both tracks displaying Lilyās ability to straddle both the thriving UK Rap and dance music scenes effortlessly. Her tracks have received glowing rapports from radio ā with support from Radio 1 (Charlie Hedges, Toddla T), KISS FM (Just Kiddin, Majestic, DJ SKT), Capital (Mistajam) and more.
Northern Irish DJ and Producer Ali Story has aggressively pursued her passion both behind the decks and in the studio, whereby in a short space of time she has already graced iconic venues throughout the UK and Ibiza. Although Story has all the modern-day musical influence, this matured from a classical background. Story is fully equipped in the classical capacity bringing instruments like the violin, piano and vocals to her unique style. Story has a passion for energetic tech house beats and song-writing and has already collaborated with the likes of Jaded, Malone and Monoky, with Storyās first collab release āDance Muchā soaring to no.7 on the Tech House charts. Following this, Story secured her first solo release of 2020 on the mighty Toolroom Records, but thereās been no slowing down since. This year, Story has released on renowned labels Club Sweat and Axtone, with her most recent track "Smile" seeing support from Swedish superstar Axwell. Not only is āSmileā a meaningful milestone for Axtone as Story becomes the first woman to stand unaccompanied on an original through the famed Swedish imprint, but itās an even more momentous occasion for Story herself as she hands in the debut single of her career, and there's plenty more to come.
