Grammy-winning composer, songwriter, violinist, and vocalist Lili Haydn sits down to discuss her incredibly diverse career as well as focus on her two new scores for Split At The Root and Ginny & Georgia: Season 2 (co-composed with Ben Bromfield).
Lili talks about her childhood and how despite music always being part of her life, it was not always the clear career path. Lili talks about her passions in activism and why she got her degree in political science from Brown, and how that led to a career in music eventually.
We discuss her solo records, being part of the Grammy-winning band Opium Moon, her work as a session musician, and her composing work.
Lili talks extensively about her new score for the documentary Split At The Root (soundtrack out now from Node Records), and how the plights of these mothers seeking asylum affected her approach to the music.
