I'm reviewing the Moondrop Horizon headphones, a brand new dynamic driver open-back headphone trying to compete in the ultra-competitive $200 budget audiophile space. In this detailed video review, I explore how it takes inspiration from iconic headphones like the Sennheiser HD800 (angled drivers) and the Focal Utopia (metal-coated diaphragm), but delivers a unique, non-fatiguing, and slightly warm sound signature perfect for long listening sessions. I dive deep into the sound quality, testing its excellent bass performance and its incredibly smooth treble—even if it has a slight peak that some with treble sensitivity should consider. It's easy to drive (32 ohms) and exceptionally comfortable due to its lightweight design.
