Context Behind Video:
Back in February 2025 I listened to Tyler the Creator’s CHROMAKOPIA album for the first time. I had already heard “Like Him” before, but the album was so good I got inspired to do something for my favorite webcomic BACK by KC Green and Anthony Clark
Story of Video (Spoilers for BACK!):
Little bit of backstory needed, but in BACK it’s implied that the ones who are born directly from the stem (AKA The Cool Witch and Abigail) are immortal. They pretty much show that the Cool Witch was there while all of the cities and towns were being built, plus the King has grown to be very long-lived after sustaining on the Blood for so long.
Anyway because I think about this webcomic so much I was like. hey. Abigail is implied to be immortal and Daniel is very much implied to be a normal dude who ages at a normal pace. So uh. That means Abigail is gonna outlive Daniel….
I’ve been thinking about this fact for so so so long and in February I finally made a short little video after listening to CHROMAKOPIA. In this video, it’s a way older Abigail who’s been through a lot of grief, and the blonde girl is a descendant of some kind of Daniel’s. Doesn’t matter how she got there, only that she’s similar enough in looks to the departed best friend of Abigail, enough that it really hurt me emotionally to make my favorite characters go through this lmao.
