Only it's spiders, Steatoda triangulosa.
Today, Elizabeth Frias and I set up and tested our time lapse rig, and made our first timelapse recording of a brief snippet of spider activity. Don't expect much, it's a trial run.
We just cut a slit in an egg sac that's near hatching to expose the babies, and recorded about 6 hours of twitchiness.
Gear:
Wild M3 stereoscope with a trinoc
Canon t5i
Intervalometer
Recorded at approximately 120x speed
