My philosophy on a Get Home Bag, or Bug Out Bag, is pretty simple. It's primary purpose is to get you from Point A to Point B as fast and as safely as possible. Given this, storing food in your kit can complicate this. Many options, while good, have more weight then I'd like to store and others, such as freeze dried, mean one has to stop, boil water, and then eat. Here is 1 of the solutions I have come up with to save weight and time on the trial from Point A to Point B.
