Testing out particles and the particle editor, as well as lighting. not too happy with it. there really isn't a big electric effect in SFM. had to edit a vortigon beam.
It was my first attempt at editing/creating particles using the editor. the tool is powerful, but overwhelming until you figure out some of the basics. (even then)
Also wasn't to sure how to light the thing. meh, tips/suggestions welcome.

Second shot at editing (the trailer being the first).
Just based on the idea of change. either finding yourself, overcoming a fear, or fearing how youd be seen in the eyes of others and how that can be changed by what you do.

Well, this took longer than expected. Soon as I heard the song back in November when someone in the mlp topic on the gamefaqs cartoon board linked it I knew had to animate it. I wanted it to have more of a stage play feel to it, hence the simplicity (though not fully done as a play), as tribute to original work. Thought it would be a nice Christmas present. lol Didnt know what I was getting myself into. But here it is and I hope you enjoy it.
And it has now passed 5 million. *faints*
(and check out my comments below if you want to know why Nightmare Moon has no mane and tail)

PTE Jack helped me with Lunas reversed mane (by helped I mean he showed me how to do reversable manes in blender and in the process made it and gave it too me. Hope I can remember how to do it the next time I need one. lol)

Wanted to try a few new things out for this. Like the cel shading which I hadnt really done much with before. Seemed to work out ok. Probably not for every circumstance, but decent for something simple like this.
I had also never done any real sound mixing before. Certainly an area I need to work on. (and i found it odd that certain effects wouldnt save out in the final render for some reason. I dont know why.)
And Im loving the new models. the hair movement adds so much life to them. Though they can be a pain at times and like to spaz out.
