A year ago I had a crazy idea. I wanted to send a Sony a7Siii up in a weather balloon to get 4k footage of the aurora borealis from the edge of space. This was ambitious to say the least: that camera didn’t even exist yet, and a flight like that had (to my knowledge) never been properly executed. Sending a full-frame camera into the stratosphere is no easy feat.
Hundreds of hours of planning later I am VERY excited to announce Light Side Up. This is the top secret project I’ve been teasing since August, and the reason I’ve been basically non-existent on this app for the last few months. I’ve been locked in my editing dungeon trying to bring this dream to life, and I truly hope you’ll join me right here on YouTube, December 8th for the big reveal. This is the by far the most ambitious project I’ve undertaken in my entire career, and I promise you’ve never seen anything like this before.
