Hey guys, welcome back to the channel. So today, I am back with my new favourite subject to paint, which is light in motion.
I haven't painted a cityscape in a while, and my rose has been out of action, so I thought of combining them both together for this piece.
My birthday is up in a couple of weeks, so the annual pondering begins. About time and how it flies by so quickly. In my heart, I still feel 18. OK, maybe that's a stretch, 25 perhaps. Thanks to the Asian genes and vampiristic tendencies to hide from the sun, I think, or rather, i hope I look younger than my biological age. That's until we hit 60 from zero to 100mph with the sun visors on with flowery grandma pants, sun protector gloves and sporting a curly afro.
The notion of growing old and turning into dust can be a little intimidating. And sometimes it just happens before you know it, and you realise that it's here. And that you're expiring.
Oftentimes, i feel like I'm the pink rose, watching the world fly by in the speed of light. Like a bystander.
I actually really like this painting and how it turned out. The colours are alot more richer in real life, it looks a little bit too warm on the orange end on camera, partially cause of the yellow lighting, so I am not too happy with the video.
First, I paint the background of the city skyline, and a few ambiguous looking blocks below it. Blur the whole painting by blending all the sharp edges, and the fun part was adding all the streaks of light.
