Alán Aspuru-Guzik, Ph.D., embraces the messiness of discovery. He describes it as hacking his way through a jungle, with fellow scientists at his side. Because of his dedication to lifelong learning, he’s expanding the boundaries of chemistry through his interdisciplinary research.

Aspuru-Guzik is a Professor of Chemistry and Computer Science at the University of Toronto, where he explores the ways that quantum computing and machine learning can accelerate progress toward new, futuristic materials.
