Hello Crafty Friends
I wanted to share this video to share a life update. My beloved fur baby Ziva crossed the Rainbow Bridge on 12/27/23. It was a very sad day for our family. The most difficult part about losing our fur baby is not just saying goodbye, it's not having her physical connection that has changed our world. We have had to adjust to those daily changes. We know her fun and loving spirit is free and we imagine her at the park daily. Meeting new friends and enjoying the suns rays. Pet loss grief has been the most painful. Sometimes the sorrow has been overwhelming.
There is a quote that I read on Instagram by Erica Jong, "Dogs come into our lives to teach us about love and loyalty. They depart to teach us about loss. A new dog never replaces an old dog; it merely expands the heart. If you have loved many dogs your heart is very big." My husband has loved and grieved many of his beloved dogs, no wonder his heart is so loving and expansive.
We are blessed to have raised Ziva. She gave us so much daily joy and a bounty of love. We will treasure those memories and honor her sweet memories in mini albums and in particular, starting with this tag flip. Her older sister, Nala misses her too.
I wanted to share this video with others who may be struggling with their own grief/pet loss and know that coping with grief is hard, but finding ways to cope through that grief helps heal your heart. I am choosing to mend my broken heart with ART and plan on doing this throughout this year during my crafty journey. Health and wellness is paramount and learning different ways to grieve in a healthy manner will nurture our spirit.
