Description
In this video I'm playing my flatpicked, melody-in-the-bass arrangement of the country gospel standard “Life is Like a Mountain Railway”. It is also sometimes titled “Life's Railway to Heaven”. Exactly who its songwriters are is not clear, but the names that come up the most often in credits are: Eliza Snow (verse lyrics), M. E. Abbey (chorus lyrics), and William S. Stevenson (melody). Time frame was circa 1900.
