In celebration of Pride Month and the excitement of global soccer fever, Nueva York heads to Jackson Heights to meet Ecuadorian-born Liaam Winslet, director of Transgrediendo, as she reflects on the organization's work and the enduring legacy of its founder, Lorena Borjas. We also celebrate the world's most popular sport with Andrew So, Executive director - South Bronx United, where soccer serves as a powerful tool for youth development, community building, and social change. Closing the program, we shine a spotlight on Fuerza Fest, the Latino LGBTQ+ arts festival, as it marks its 10th anniversary showcasing groundbreaking artists, amplifying diverse voices, and celebrating a decade of culture, creativity, and pride.
