My apologies for the break in posting my 12 days of Christmas Cookies; I still have cookies planned but as a family member is in the hospital and we may have to delay our Christmas.
My son will be picking up the cookies I have baked to date for them to enjoy now.
I will post as I am able and do my best to keep up on Comments and watch videos as I have time.
Thank you for watching and hope you have a wonderful evening!
Today's cookies are ready-to-bake Pillsbury Christmas Tree Sugar Cookies that I purchased for $2.68 at Target.
It had a Christmas Tree on the back of the package that you could make while waiting for cookies to bake and I did that as well but didn't get it finished in time as I cut out the words and some of the pictures to use on other craft projects or Christmas presents. Does anyone else do that?
Sorry this went up late today folks, but have been a little under the weather,

This is Day 2. Today's cookies are Peanut Butter Oatmeal Chocolate Chip Cookies, which is a package mix by Betty Crocker, Oatmeal Chocolate Chip, with around 1/2 cup peanut butter added.
The mix was $1.99 on sale a Kroger and with the butter and egg and a bit of peanut butter would be around $3.50 for 15 cookies.

As I work full time and was pressed for time, I used a Pillsbury ready to bake Elf cookies and a Betty Crocker package of cookie mix and used 1 TBSP of applesauce instead of Vegetable Oil and put chocolate chunks for the Dollar Tree on top.
Both batches of cookies were under $5 total

BIRTHDAY CHALLENGE CHRISTMAS ORNAMENTS & ATC CARD

This is a video response (VR) for #Fashionably50somethingbirthdaychallenge where we are to decorate an ATC Card (Artist Trading card) or other small papercraft and I purchased some ATC cards from JoAnn's crafts and decorated this with a Griswold Family Christmas theme.
As a bonus, I decorated a round tag from Dollar Tree as "Harvest Moon" and had a picture of her cat printed off at Walgreens (used a screenshot of her cat) and decorated around the cutout to look like the moon, LOL.
I know it won't physically arrive by 11/29 as I will have to mail it out after I get off work today, but getting this in to wish her a happy belated birthday!

This has been a family favorite for a dozen years now and we have used all sorts of flavors of Kool-Aid and other unsweetened drink mixes.
It only takes 4 ingredients and it is a no-bake pie.
Recipe
Kool-Aid Pie
- 1 pkg Kool-Aid (or drink mix flavor packet)
- 1 (8 ounce) container whipped topping
- 1 (12 ounce) can sweetened condensed milk
- 1 prepared graham cracker pie crust
In a large bowl, mix together the packet of
Kool-Aid, whipped topping, can of sweetened
condensed milk until well mixed (by hand or
with a mixer).
Taste mixture; if too tangy and 1-3 TBSP
milk or cream and/or sweetner of choice
until it tastes how you want.
Pour into the prepared mixed ingredients
into prepared graham cracker crust.
Chill in fridge or freezer (we prefer
freezer as it is more like an ice cream pie)
at least 2 hours before serving.

In my video is an initiative through my employer, this is a national movement in the US and Canada and sharing what I donated.
Move For Hunger - moveforhunger.org
In our state, it indicated 1 in 6 children are food insecure. If you can, I would encourage you to make a donation to your local food bank during the Holiday season to help those in need.
If you shop the sales, it doesn't have to be expensive. In what I bought the soups were .99 cents if purchasing 8, pasta was .49 cents if 5 or more qualifying items were purchased, and the cereals were around $1.50 a box after sale and coupon applied.
Thank you for watching. and may God bless you and your family.
Hope you have a wonderful day!

While collecting for this initiative to turn in boxes in 11/22/21, I would like to encourage people to remember the reason for the upcoming holiday season and donate to the charity of your choice to help people or animals, or others in need if you can.

This week is collection week and I am sharing what I purchased, mostly from Dollar Tree, for donation for a boy 5-9 years old.
To donate, you pack a shoebox, cardboard, or plastic with items for a boy or a girl 2-14 and there are 3 age ranges: 2-4, 5-9 and 10-14.
The boxes go to impoverished or underprivileged children many times in remote locations.
If they do not have this in your country I would suggest finding other places to donate for children in need over this holiday season.

It is behind the Ford dealership in New Haven and it doesn't seem like many people know it is there; we only know because Marv installed the gas lines.
I think their prices are in line with similar offerings in the area and the food we had was very good.
The restaurant has a full bar in a separate section for those over 21 if they desire to sit in that section (with proper ID, of course).

We got to visit her nice backyard on the lake, had a yummy lunch, and I was able to visit with Miss Daisy, her 18-19-year-old kitty that I cat sat while she was in the hospital last year.
Unfortunately, the baby was sick so my son and his family were not able to make it.

Although the flat pumpkin didn't work out, I am happy with how the other 3 pieces look, especially the owl and it is something I will try again in the future, but likely use masking tape, washi tape or buy black and white napkins and decopauge.
Jacke Burns Creations Channel:

Items used:
- Old White Sweatshirt
- 2x Rustoleum Black Gloss Spray Paint
- Plastic (could use cardboard) skeleton body
- Old box or placemats to put under the shirt to prevent bleed-through of paint
NOTE: On the sweatshirt, you do not want it to be too thick or have a high cotton content, or be too dark as spray paint will just soak into the fabric.
Preferably, spray paint outside or in a well-ventilated area.
I washed the sweatshirt 3 times after it dried and used fabric softener to get the paint smell out of the shirt.
I hope you enjoy this and if you would make a version of it would love to see it - you could leave a link in the comments and I would check it out.

It is small; about the size of an adult palm of the hand.
It is a hand-crank type and you must be cranking the handle to get the music to play. If you are not cranking it, it will not play, which some people would not want so I did want to make people aware of that.
It would be nice for older kids or adults who are curious about how things work and could watch how it works as they would crank.
Due to smaller parts, would not be suitable for children under 3.

Most are Snugadoo brand fuzzy socks which are very soft and comfortable and even found a few pairs in smaller sizes, for a 12-month-old, which I picked up one for my Granddaughter.
I had seen other videos of Dollar Tree hauls where they had found the Gold Toe socks, which are usually found in department stores, but this is the first I have found at our local Dollar Tree.
So if you have a Dollar Tree in your area, you might want to consider stopping in and checking out their sock selection as they make great stocking stuffers for Christmas.
