The Lewin's Rail is a very secretive bird that is heard much more often than seen. This film is my account of filming this interesting species and documenting it's unusual calls. I spent a week in my hide hoping to film a bird that I had only previously glimpsed.
For many years, I had only seen this secretive bird for a few seconds at a time.The observer, normally can only hope of seeing this species dashing from one area of cover to another.
However, this film records my game of 'hide and seek' with this elusive species.
