I performed a well thought out plan a few days ago. It obviously didn't go exactly as intended, it was very difficult to get it set up, but once it got going, it seemed to be going as smoothly as I could have hoped, aside from it being 4 am at the time it happened. That part wasn't fully intentional.
Additionally, I can not return to the world in which I performed that plan! My face was taken over by one close to the one in this image as it was happening, and as a result, its completion triggered my banishment.
Suppose it was a lost spirit- there was legend of a person with a similar smile long in the past of that world- would my performance and banishment parallel that in any ways that weren't just coincidence?
Perhaps if anyone but the subjects of my plan knew what I was talking about, I would ever know, but I will refuse to do any real research on such a myth.
Not BECAUSE it is myth, mind you, I love stories usually regardless of age, but because of a second, self-inflicted banishment from that world!
I also heard enough about it from a friend that I know it would not be something interesting to me, though likely more interesting than many other things such as the history of YOUR world. It's all so boring...
In any case, here is a general idea of the situation for level 1 of my scheme.
In a large and dark prison, there lives someone I knew from that world. (Time will tell if I get to know them past the torture I subjected them to; perhaps after that dramatic interaction they would call me a friend.)
Of course, a prison, if you know it well enough, is easy to rig with all sorts of elaborate contraptions and traps. I was mainly focused on the contraptions, the only trap I made was locking a door by cutting a single wire, which was then reattached to a much bigger contraption that took me a long time to design. It was part of the first puzzle.
In their own home I set up 4 clues with which they could open the door. Each clue was hidden in a place which should not have been noticed before I intended. Two of them were, but it was not as big of a harm to the plan as I expected; honestly, it was likely for the better since it was 4 am.
The first was simply hard to reach, unless another way is known. A place travelled more often than I thought it was. It was the first that was found early, I assume.
The second was in an attached garden, with a logic puzzle to solve for it! The puzzle itself was stolen from another world I am familiar with, but the contraption I designed to make it work entirely as the other world does is my own. (I heard this world had some history of stealing designs, so I must clarify that the logic puzzle itself was the only thing I stole aside from the general concept for another future puzzle.)
The third was behind a bookshelf. I managed to make a secret door open when the books on a bookshelf were in a certain orientation. It was simple, but very satisfying.
And the fourth was found far too early, as I found it open just before I would attempt to enact the plan. It was similarly satisfying, but nothing special.
With those four clues, the code to my BIG contraption connected to the door was found, a 5x5 combination lock which I designed entirely myself and that took me a very long time.
Before us was freedom, allegedly.
No, no.
I had more plans.
This was the extent of my idea early on, it was going to end there. But the plan took too long just waiting for a good opportunity, and two more levels were added.
I need to get this damn smile thing off of my head...
Is it making me talk strangely?
Well, stranger than usual?
