Btw - I don't usually do this, but I wanna share with you a song that I just worked on, and haven't finished yet. At first, I filmed this very casually for my patrons over at Patreon, but I kind of felt the urge to share it with Youtube as well. In my last video (Coming Clean About Youtube), I shared with you my vulnerabilities and apprehensions about being a creator online, and I sincerely thank you for all the helpful feedback and the comforting words.
I've since wanted to write a song about MY writing songs for the 2nd album. I feel a bit of internal pressure (self-imposed) because it's like every time I sit down to write a song, I always want to come out of that session victorious. But in reality, that only happens 10% of the time. And this song is sort of coming to terms with that realization, and honoring my own process in the making of very personal work (that will also be public eventually).
I know I have a tendency to want everything to be presentable and I overthink all the time, but I want to try to be more generous and open with you about my process, even if it means sharing things that I'm still working on or am not sure about yet. I'm still currently developing the bridge of it (I have it more or less, but I'm not yet completely happy with the flow) - so maybe I will keep it a surprise until you hear the actual record.
