Time is speeding up. Therefore, this is the moment to let go of everything that no longer serves us. This includes all unresolved relationships, like all old grudges. The key to freedom is always forgiveness. By forgiving others we are setting ourselves free. The scripture is even more direct and suggest to offer the other cheek if somebody hurts us. And it says that if somebody is taking our coat, we should give him our shirt as well. These are very tall orders which our ego fights. In this video I included a wonderful example from Victor Hugo’s amazing novel Les Miserables.
Letting go is easier if we learn not to take everything that happens to us so personally. Just like a ride in a bumper car, where we bump into others and others ram into our car into each other. We laugh and scream and quickly move on. Because we do not take anything personally.
If we can learn to let go of our self-importance we would live a more serene and joyful life. It’s all about letting go.
