Learn the Letter A — All 4 Sounds! — Beginner American English Pronunciation
In this lesson, we tackle the very first letter of the alphabet — the letter A! As a vowel, A makes not just one or two sounds, but four! We'll go through each one together, with mouth and tongue placement tips to help you produce each sound correctly.
Here's what we cover:
🔹 Short A — like in apple, bat, cat, dad
🔹 Long A — like in make, apron, skate, paint
🔹 Broad A — like in father, water, ball, call
🔹 A sounding like short E — like in many, any, anyone, anywhere
At the end of the lesson, we read sentences that contain all four A sounds — see if you can spot them!
Remember: don't just listen — say the words out loud with me! That's how your mouth learns. 💪
