When layering supplies in mixed media think about how the product will bond to the media below it. Also think about how much of the underlayer you want to chow though. Transparent products will allow the background to show what opaque product will cover it up. Here are the products I used in the order I layered them, keep in mind you can go back and forth a bit with some products and it will still work out.
I am working in a sketchbook I made with Hahnemuhle 140# cold press watercolor paper.
