Well, I finally came back to this topic, and I think I've said all I really need to say about it.

Anyone who makes you feel lesser as oart of the promise of eventually building you up is not worth your time or energy. You are better than that.

You don't owe anyone shame as a trans person, because being trans is not a shameful thing to be.
