When I started into 3D printing, I bought an absolute piece of junk printer, and it was both good and bad, I learned a lot about printers, but I also wasted a huge amount of time. Fast forward to today, and printers are so good that almost anyone can use one with very little experience, and they're still improving. They're pretty safe, they're quiet, and for the most part, they produce real parts that we can use. But how does a 3D printer compare to other machines, like a laser or a CNC machine? In this video, we explore that question by making similar parts on each machine and looking at what's really involved.
