Does it need saving? Not really, but we are going to try and make it mass market sustainable. Can it be done?

Episode Notes:
1. I have always felt that SNK needed a SKU of this hardware aimed at the larger 16-bit market. At $299, it would have been only $100 more than the SNES at its launch in 1991.
2. 3rd party support would have been of paramount importance here. It's one thing to have $50 and $60 games, but you need titles people wanna play.
3. I feel that since NEC/Hudson loved add-ons and extra hardware, we could always do a Neo Geo HES adaptor for the PC Engine.
4. Something may need to be done to break direct compatibility with the MVS. A slight change in CPU/VDP/SOUND value to make sure arcade machines could not play HES software. This may be needed for a compression technique as well.
5. I genuinely tried to get a mock up of the Titan K-9 Assassin game rendered. Turns out people want a fortune for just a few seconds of animation.
6. I didn't think this needed to be said but this is not an attack on the Neo Geo and its history. It's a what if scenario to try and make it a mass market success. In no way, shape, or form am I saying the Neo Geo was a failure.
