Phantasm is awesome.
This is easily my favorite EX stage in the series, and it's a blast to wrap up this LP with! When I first got into Touhou, the first thing I ever tried to achieve was clearing PCB extra stage (And Phantasm for that matter). I spent months of on and off credits grinding it as much as I could, failing and raging but getting ever so close each time. This was about late 2010 or so. Then mid 2011 I managed to finally beat Ran! I was so happy. It was my first achievement in Touhou. I felt awesome and this positive energy just surged through my body. Being able to achieve something that took a lot of grinding and work was refreshing. Afterward, I took a few days and managed to beat Phantasm as well. These clears were both during May 2011. Having FINALLY tackled these EX stages, I had finally achieved something in these games. I had tried to do other Ex stages. (I never really played the main games that much back then. I had this strange idea that EX stages were the only thing that mattered. Idk what I was thinking don't ask).
Anyway. My point is that these stages have a lot of sentimental value to me. They're a nice reminder of where I started.
So where to next time? Well, that's pretty obvious isn't it? Cya guys next time for an imperishable night~
