Former Piranha Bytes developers Björn and Jenny Pankratz (now Pithead Studios) are working on their own game called Cralon -- a first-person dungeon-crawler with what appears to be a vaguely fantasy-themed, slightly dark and spooky setting. This gameplay demo was made available in February 2026 for Steam's Next Fest, and allows you to play a sort of tutorial floor in the main underground dungeon -- you play as the hero Cralon, a warrior of sorts for a local village who helps to defend it from red-eyed creatures who mysteriously take people away into the night, after you've fallen into an old mine shaft and have to find your way out. Gameplay features minor stealth elements and combat, exploration, item crafting, and allegedly puzzles. This video is a full playthrough of the demo with thoughts and commentary on things as I go -- not quite a full review or feedback because there's very little to actually react to thus far, but at least very early impressions.
