This is a short video tutorial on a double piston extender I havent seen before, though it is a simple design and Im sure people have created it.
You can use a lever or flip-flop to give the piston an extended and retracted steady state.
If you are using a button, then it only works in a North/South orientation. To make it work East/West you must change the first repeater I put down to four (4) ticks [instead of 3], and the repeater on top of the line of three green blocks to three (3) ticks [instead of 2]. This is why I call it a particular double piston extender, as it is not practical for all applications. If anyone knows why this bug happens, I would love to hear it. I believe it is some game mechanism that has pistons favor a particularly oriented torch or piece of redstone when two go off at the same time.
This is not a problem if you are using a flip flop however, as Im sure most people will.
I developed this particular double piston extender for my first adventure map I am currently finishing up. It is an adventure map designed to be played entirely on Minecrafts 1.3.2 adventure setting.This means no blocks or items can be placed or destroyed. I will be making another video soon. It will be a teaser for my adventure map for which I will be looking for Beta testers. So hop on the bandwagon quick and land a spot on my Beta test. You wont regret it!

Here is a showcase of my one-minute clock made using only redstone, repeaters, and torches.
The dimensions are 13x6x4. Im sure it is not the smallest that will come out of Cubehamsters challenge but it is simple to make and very intuitive. I hope you all enjoy!
