The creators of this campaign really wanted to show off the lighting system in the ludicrous edition and my, is it obvious with this level here.
Darkest War is pretty gloomy even if you don't go around engaging in heroic vandalism like I do. The shadowy corners allow for sneaky ambushes and other traps to be sprung upon you, forcing you to sneak about when you really want to dash through everywhere MP40ing everything that moves and lots of things that don't.
As fun as that is, rushing headlong into new places is a great way to get yourself killed, so it's best to temper your enthusiasm for dakka just a little bit, but not too much. There aren't enforcers and deathfire monks around every corner... at least, not yet.
