Following up from my LP of Lylat Wars, here is a single playthrough of Star Fox Zero's Arcade Mode with some more rambling commentary from me talking about my thoughts on the game and comparing and contrasting the game to the game it's attempting to succeed. Also please excuse the fact I'm recording an HD game console using a SD capture device, I tried my best to upscale and improve the image quality.
Things I intended to mention in the video but forgot:
- Apparently according to a thing I read ages ago which may have been a rumour is that the reason the Landmaster tank exists was because the dev team thought Miyamoto's idea to have an Arwing transform into the Walker in Star Fox 64 was dumb so Miyamoto told them to come up with their own idea and then the Landmaster was born. I guess Miyamoto got the last laugh in the end.
- Normally the radio chatter dialogue comes exclusively through the gamepad speakers, creating a weird 3D audio effect. It kinda works but does make streaming/recording the game a tad awkward as theres no option to disable this feature outside of plugging an audio cable into the gamepad's headphone jack.
- The gyro motion aiming controls aren't even unique to this game, they are similar to Splatoon and also the Uncharted game on PS Vita (though both games allowed you to disable the feature).
- THERE IS A MISSION WHERE YOU PLAY AS PEPPY AND HE SAYS "BARREL ROLL" EVERY TIME YOU DO A BARREL ROLL FUCK MEMES
