It's a good thing I decided to start the quest involving a chain of letters, as heading to the cave revealed somone that wasn't there before who needs our help. Moomintroll may be inundated with things he has to do, but he'll always make time to lend a hand, so it's off into the cave we go in search of some mising mice.

The joy of this game is that almost all the sidequests are optional. You only need to get three winter beings to help in the bonfire and I imagine there's enough firewood scattered about that you can get it all without completing extra tasks. That being said, the sidequests are so utterly charming that it makes me want to complete them and that's the sign of a well designed game.
