Mega Man II is the second game in the Game Boy series of Mega Man games, known as Rockman World in Japan. It was developed by Thinking Rabbit and first published by Capcom on December 20, 1991 in Japan.
Like the other Game Boy Mega Man game, the game uses eight Robot Masters from two of the NES titles, in this case Air Man, Wood Man, Metal Man, and Clash Man from Mega Man 2, as well as Hard Man, Top Man, Needle Man, and Magnet Man from Mega Man 3.
Dr. Wily is trying to take over the world once more, this time by travelling to the future. Mega Man has to stop him once more, and also face Quint, a future version of himself.
Mega Man II received average to positive reviews from critics, with the soundtrack being notable for its negative reception. For the next game in the series, Capcom would once again hire Minakuchi Engineering, who has previously developed Mega Man: Dr. Wily’s Revenge.
