With the upcoming release of Halo 2 Anniversary edition on Halo MCC PC on May 12th, I thought I'd revisit Halo 2 Vista redone on PC using Project Cartographer and see how everything is.
I've tested it on Windows 10 64-bit, and I love how it has custom server browser. If you got an itch to play Halo 2 online, and maybe not the MCC version, give this a try!

Todays video is a quick proof of concept to show you that popstarter on internal hard drive of the fat PS2 does work, and when it works, it works well!
The final tutorial Im still figuring out best way to do it. There is a lot of stuff to cover, and Im debating to make one long video (easily 15+ minutes) or make smaller parts. Well see what happens.
I dont know everything there is about popstarter, but I know enough now to get the basics covered.
In the meantime, I hope this video gives you some hope and interest in PS2 gaming!

1) Popstarter does support virtual memory cards. I was mistaken in the video.

Todays video will help anyone who is new to using OPL 0.9.3 and want to know what is the easiest and simplest way to get their PS2 games working on USB hard drives (or flash drives) so they can start playing now and stop troubleshooting.
The summary is as follows:
1) Format usb drive as fat32, primary and active partition.
2) Put your ISO games in a DVD folder (or CD folder) depending on file size (less than 4.3GB for DVD, 700MB or less for CD)
3) If you have ISO file larger than 4.3GB, then use USBUtil V2.0 or USBExtreme to split the games and save them to the root of your usb drive.

In todays proof of concept video, I am using the latest OPL Daily Build (as of 5/23/18) and using FMCB to boot the OPL program, I can configure any game to use a PS3 or PS4 controller to play with a USB cable, or over Bluetooth with a USB dongle that supports EDR technology.
It is pretty cool. The analog sticks do work, and so does the digital DPAD. If you are a PS2 gamer and you dream of playing wirelessly with first party controllers, now is your time to shine! Enjoy and full tutorial coming in the near future.

Todays tutorial Im sharing my tips that I used to protect my E3 flasher clip from accidental damage from the PS3 metal chassis. The short story is tape down any sharp edges, and consider reinforcing your E3 flasher clip with additional tape so it will not tear as easily!
