This episode's a little different from the last! I'm very, very drunk, and attempt to piece together the lore and background narrative of Elden Ring with all the information I currently have available to me.
Elden Ring is a FromSoftware game that serves as an open-world successor to the famous "Soulsborne" titles and related games, including Demon's Souls, the Dark Souls trilogy, Bloodborne, and Sekiro. The player is cast as a wanderer known as a Tarnished, who must venture through the ruined Lands Between in order to find the titular Elden Ring. The game was directed by longtime FromSoftware creator Hidetaka Miyazaki, and also features worldbuilding done by George R.R. Martin.
