We continue fleeing with Hugo through a plague-stricken village, but frightened locals refuse to help and soon turn violent, blaming us for the disease. We rely on stealth and distractions to escape multiple encounters until a kind woman shelters us, provides supplies, and helps improve our sling. After tensions boil over and Hugo runs off, we’re forced into a confrontation where we kill a pursuing enemy for the first time, leaving us shaken but still determined to survive and find help.
