Creativity needs incubation time/silence, but students have a hard time doing this. In order to celebrate the importance of silence, the lectorate Designing the Future of Fontys Academy For Creative Industries organized an (online) Floating Festival about 'nothing'. During 10 weeks employees and students could log in between 12 and 13 o'clock to meditate together, draw, write or just do nothing. The impact on the people that joined was insightful. But Monique van Hest asks, how do you get the whole institute to join?
