Today, I'm posting a video that I've wanted to make for over a year. I'm discussing why I think the way we use the term “#ownvoices” is exclusionary, and how we can better word ourselves to be more inclusive to those in the closet.
As I said, this isn't something I'm willing to change my mind about. Please keep any comments civil, and be sure to watch until the end. Do not twist my words to start drama.
I realize that the answer to my issue is in the FAQ linked below, but I still take issue with it. Saying that “we are working with the information we have” when you haven't been given any at all is a problem.
