Let's Build and Fly Boeing L-15 Scout Foamboard RC Airplane
In this video I will go over how you can build and fly a semi-scale model of the Boeing L-15 Scout, a 1946 design for the US Army for a liaison aircraft. The L-15 Scout uses 3/16" foamboard and some 1/8" balsa (ailerons) for construction. The Scout is made from 3 view plans off the internet, using a enlargement factor of 5.8. Plans, with model measurements, can be downloaded here:

My model of the L-15 Scout RC airplane has a wingspan of 44 inches and weights around 2.2 lbs. The video covers all aspects of drawing the design onto the foamboard and assembling the fuselage cab, wing, tail boom and tail surfaces. The models flies very well. I think this is a fun project that anyone should be able to build, at a very reasonable cost.
