What if Let It Go was part of an actual retro game? ❄️🎮
I wanted to imagine what Frozen might have looked and sounded like if it had been released during the 8-bit era — so here it is, recorded on a real Commodore 64!
Huge thanks to Roman Werner, who did an incredible job coding the whole thing and bringing the screen to life with animated snow and water on the C64. ❤️
Of course, the soundtrack is also running through the legendary SID 8580 sound chip, turning Let It Go into a proper 8-bit experience.
No AI-generated music. No modern audio pretending to be 8-bit.
Real C64. Real SID. Real retro hardware.

Look Mum No Computer just released Eins, Zwei, Drei, and I couldn’t resist bringing it to the Commodore 64 SID.
But this 2. version has a twist.
I added the legendary C64 speech synthesizer Software Automatic Mouth (SAM) so the computer actually shouts the lyrics:
EINS! ZWEI! DREI!
Which leads to a slightly ridiculous situation…
SAM is literally singing a song by Sam.
Also: this might be the fastest SID cover I’ve ever made after a song release.
