The scenic area at Mount Emei and the Leshan Giant Buddha is a fascinating and unusual UNESCO World Heritage site. One of China's most sacred spots for Buddhist worship, the Leshan Giant Buddha is the world's largest stone statue. It was dug out of a river cliff in the 8th century AD, and directly faces the sacred Mount Emei. It's a beautiful spot with a really interesting story behind it, so let's have a look around!
