After a few months of use, my K3 Note started behaving really badly - sluggish, freezing, to the point that I had to remove the battery several times to reboot.
This was probably a combination of running the the stock Lenovo ROM which is full of bloatware, and me freezing the aforementioned bloatware with Titanium Backup.
So, enough was enough, I took the plunge and installed a custom ROM. But which one? What is safe? I looked into the Nexus ROM which was quite highly rated, and given that it was Vanilla (plain) ROM, I figure it should be okay.
Anyway, the result was better than expected, super smooth and no bloatware, and I was finally able to run my favourite launcher - Nova! Please see the links below for instructions.
