Omg I'm so nervous to show this, I'm sweating so badly as we speak omg omg omg freaking out

I tried to explain this as best I could in the video, but here's basically a summary again~
Instead of representing one emotion in one drawing; I wanted the viewers to experience and represent it with their emotions instead.
When explaining, I said if you put people in a certain situation, there will always be a umbrella central emotion (an emotion that everyone reacts to primarily), but if you look inside the umbrella, there will always be different little emotions for everybody. One person might feel a tad bit sad or mad or joyous at the situation depending on how they view it and their experience, rather than the person right next to them.

In this piece, the central emotions can be disgust (because of the trash) and empathy/sadness (from viewing the girl and the environment around her) judging from what's on the outside, but once we see what's on the inside; it's all scattered (You might feel sad for the girl because you can relate to her and her insecurities; or anger for the girl because you know that is a human-made landfill)

Again, the point was to drive different emotions from yourself; rather than explaining one emotion that I personally connect with (kind of wanted to make this a bit relatable, so everybody can have their own story for one piece! Kind of interesting how many stories can connect with a single picture.)

Why I want to win the set of Brushes

Painting & drawing is my honestly passion. 90% of my pieces are done with watercolor and tiny bit of acrylic.
In my life right now, it's a bit of a break-down time. It's my senior year of high school and I'm really struggling with scholarships and money because I can barely make it to an art school right now looking at my financial situation. I have no job, so the only money I earn is from art contests (which is rarely). A lot of that money goes into purchasing illustration board and to replace my copic markers alone, so there's always no left over money for nice professional paintbrushes. My parents are great supporters of me and also help and pitch in, but I always can't help but feel guilty. (And buying expensive paintbrushes are the last on their list)
I always buy the cheapo ones at Michael's for like $10 and if I don't have the certain size I need, I always try to look for it in other places (like a flea market) or…I steal them from school. Yes, I've resorted to stealing. So petty
So far I have accumulated only 12 paintbrushes in the past year though

I would love to win these set of brushes because it would definitely help with my pieces. I know supplies don't define your art, but I think it would make it a lot easier at least. My portfolio is in the works right now and I would love to show those administrators professionally done paintings with the real brushes. I think using these brushes would help out my portfolio pieces in creating even more details for the areas I can't reach in my artwork. My portfolio at this point is the only chance I have to getting into the art school of my dreams.

A lot of people who entered this contest totally deserve these brushes way more than I do because maybe they don't even have paintbrushes. I always feel like there's people who need these thing more than me.
My veteran brushes will always be here with me~ But, as always, it would be an absolute honor to be selected for them ♥
