In today’s world of social media-oriented photography and news, it’s becoming more and more difficult to know what is real and what is fabricated. All images have metadata written to the file, but this can be stripped away or modified. So, it’s important for artists and news outlets to have a way to authenticate an image. The Content Authenticity initiative is an organization of over 300 companies, including Leica Camera, that has accepted this challenge. Now with the release of the Leica M11-P, Leica has introduced the first camera in the world to directly incorporate Content Credentials into a camera, allows creatives around the world to cryptographically sign their name to their photographs as well as encrypt the metadata of their images.
In the next Leica Tech Talk Senior Product Specialist John Kreidler and Product Communication Specialist Nathan Kellum will be joined by photojournalists Cheriss May and David Butow as we break down what the Initiative is and how Content Credentials plays a part in their personal and professional endeavors.
Come prepared for insights and answers to your questions, as we will leave time for a Q&A at the end. The online event is free with registration.
