It's been exactly ten years since Stephen Hawking flew on the Vomet Comet, which is what originally inspired me in 2007 to create a LEGO model of him ...and set me on a decade long journey as a LEGO pop culture artist.

Over the past decade, LEGO Stephen Hawking has taken on a life of his own, appearing on television, in newspapers and magazines, and continues to be discovered by people every day.

To celebrate this 10 year milestone, I took LEGO Stephen Hawking with me on the very same aircraft, to follow in his fleshy counterpart's footsteps! We even got to meet crew members that had been on the original flight with Professor Hawking.
