First up, for those who missed it - I have a Discord server and we're currently running a collaboration on there, so if you're interesting in joining, click here: discord.gg/uzZy7cV
This LEGO Star Wars Umbara MOC was basically just a test to see what I could pull off with the few black pieces I have. Hence why the edges aren't so clean and why the thing is fairly small overall. A better overview (with Rex using the official helmet) can be found on my Flickr: https://flic.kr/s/aHsmSBam8D

As said above, this MOC could be called a tablescrap. Something to see what I could do with random pieces I have. I've never really used black in my builds, but I do have a small collection of black pieces and always wanted to see what I could do with them. Umbara from The Clone Wars was the obvious choice, given I'm mainly a Star Wars builder, so here we are.
The 501st troopers use the 2020 helmet, 2013 torso with Firestartoys custom printed arms and the 2020 legs. The reason being there is no Rex (torso) in 2020 style as of now, and I wanted them to be consistent. And when I tried the 2013 torso with the 2020 legs and helms, I did actually quite like it.
As for the Captain Rex, I used the 2013 torso with 2020 legs. In the Flickr post (thumbnail is from the same shooting), I used the official helmet from 2013 and Firestartoys arms.
For this video I went with something different:
There's this asian brand called WM Blocks, that recently became known in the community for their Bad Batch figures. Even though they don't print on official Lego pieces, I would consider them a custom brand like CAC or Arealight, simply for their helmets that are better than about any other custom brand's currently on the market.
Since Rex has a modified Phase 2 helmet, that looks a little different than the standard P2 helmets in The Clone Wars, I got my hands on one of WM's Captain Rex figures to see if the helmet could be used for that.
Surprise, surprise! Even though the body print is definitely not my style and the alignment is terribly off (shifted ~1,2mm to one side on mine) - the helmet, and to my surprise the arms as well, are great! The printing is pin sharp and reasonably aligned and I decided to not only use the helmet with my official Rex minifigure here, but switch the FST arms for the WM arms as well, because the WM arms have "battle damage" and more importantly, they have the tally marks on Rex' forearms. A detail the FST Rex arms lack.
The arms are thus not consistent among the figures I used on this MOC, but the accuracy on the WM arms is worth it for me personally. Again, for FST/official-only, check out the Flickr post linked above.

Now, I think this is enough text. If you actually read it all, congratulations, you have expanded your horizon regarding great 3rd party accessories for your figs.
If you're a purist, or only want custom prints on official pieces, I totally respect that. I for my part was suspicious at first too, but I wasn't disappointed with what I got.
