Lego has released a new updated version of their classic 1979 Lego Space Galaxy Explorer. I recently rebuilt the ship from 1979, minus the Landing Pad, which I do have, but I forgot to remove it from storage to add to the set. While building the original set, I had to improvise a couple pieces, that I unfortunately couldn't find, but overall the set is complete.
I recently bought Set #10497 Galaxy Explorer, so this video will showcase both the build and comparison to the original, plus photos of both the new and older set, and photos of me with the original set in 1979. I was 9 years old, and a huge Lego fan, and over the years, I have built everything from multiple Lego Towns, a Jeep Cherokee, Pick-Up Truck, Volkswagon Beetle, Power Rangers, Spongebob Squarepants, Battle Droid from Star Wars, and many other unique sets.
